I was born in Colombia in 1981. As a teenager, the one thing I loved the most was to draw and paint with charcoal. In 1998 I moved to NJ with my family in search of the American dream! It was a tough transition for me and my family but I learned that we, like dragonflies, are beings in constant transformation with a great capacity to adapt. And so, my adult life began along with responsibilities and in the face of many many challenges. In 2003 I had a beautiful daughter who is the light of my life and makes me proud every single day - I call her yellow💛 I am an entrepreneur, I currently run a construction business with my husband. I’m the administrator/ interior designer. In September 2018 my Dad was hospitalized, seriously ill, and my sister/best friend Xio and I would stay some nights together taking care of our daddy. To our most pleasant surprise our business was born in the middle of chaos or at least this beautiful idea, one night my sister who is a very talented textile designer needed some help with work. I offered to draw for her and without realizing we crystal clear understood how well we complemented each other and right there and then our print studio dream Xio and Paula came to life, I went from plans to flowers! Our business is the reflection of our hearts, every single design is filled with our love and creativity. It is a channel that allows us to express and share our roots and ethnicity through the beautiful vibrant colors we use in our designs.
